Daniel's career started 14 years ago, shooting corporate videos and commercial. Since then he has worked his way up to an IATSE 667 Director of Photography, and associate member of the CSC. He is a British and Canadian Citizen currently living between London, UK, and Toronto, Canada. (eligible for tax credits in both countries)
To date he has shot over 13 scripted feature films, multiple series, and 2 feature documentaries.
He has also had the pleasure and honour of working 2nd unit alongside prolific cinematographers, including Seamus MacGarvey ASC, BSC, on 'The Nevers' for HBO.
Previously, Daniel ran True Perspective VR, which shot commercial and narrative 360 films for clients including the BBC, HBO, BT Sport, Fiji Airways, Vodafone and FIFA. During this time he achieved multiple worlds firsts in the mixed reality space, and helped develop camera rigs that have been used by large scale productions for VFX capture ever since. He has also worked as a colourist for as long as he has been shooting, giving him a deep technical knowledge when it comes to shooting and achieving as much in camera as possible!
Previous accolades include a nomination for a CSC award for his short film, 'Challenger', as well as multiple film festival wins and nominations for films including 'From the Thunder', 'Purgatory Jack' and 'Humanity'.
In between shooting, you'll find him either training, travelling or playing the drums (despite a severe lack of natural rhythm...)
